Sidney Smith is redefining what it means to be a stand-up in the digital age—building his own stage, owning the mic, and inviting the audience in on his terms. With sharp wit, undeniable presence, and bold personal storytelling, Sidney has emerged as one of the most compelling voices in comedy.
In late March of 2024, he independently released his breakout special Misunderstood, which has amassed nearly 250,000 views on YouTube - placing him among the top 1% of self-produced comedy specials online. No agents. No studios. Just the work.
Even before launching his first tour in 2024, he was performing at top-tier clubs like The Comedy Store, Stand Up Live, Helium, The Improv, and more - often alongside names like Whitney Cummings, Pete Lee, David Spade, Russell Peters, Damon Wayans, and Josh Wolf. He also hosts the weekly podcasts This Week’s Drop, Murderess Podcasts and was the regular host of Pete Lee’s What’s Your Drama live show.
Beyond the stage, Sidney is the founder of Sidney Smith Cre8tiv LLC, a production company driving multiple original IP across scripted and unscripted formats. That includes Laugh Local: Smoke Sessions, a touring comedy and cigar culture series filmed inside high-end lounges around the country and co-produced under his Laugh Local Network banner.
This November, he’ll film his next two specials, Unpicked and Ugly, live at Mic Drop Mania Comedy Club, continuing his commitment to self-funded, community-backed art. With his You Hear Good Things Podcast Network set to launched, Sidney isn’t just chasing credits - he’s building the kind other comedians will chase.
